Artist

Pamela Plummer

I am a Coromandel artist, living in Thames. With my family, we lived overseas for many years, largely in the Pacific Islands and also around NZ.

I graduated from Ilam School of Art in the 60's and later I did my teachers qualifications and worked over the years in a variety of secondary schools.

I work in ceramic sculpture and mixed media painting. The figure, relationships and what surrounds me are the subjects I like to use in my work.

My painting often features a person, a bird, a dog or all three. I need to draw into and over the work using charcoal, crayon and paint.

I have been exhibiting for many years in many places, which started in Fiji. In NZ the main exhibitions have included: Fischer Gallery in Howick, The French Art Shop, North Shore Art Centers, Rotorua Museum, The Wallace Gallery in Morrisonville, Thames Society of Arts, Miranda Gallery and The White House.
