Sally Samins
I am an abstract artist strongly influenced by my childhood in Australia.
I studied graphic arts at Sydney College of the Arts. For over 20 years I was a photographer specializing in Americas Cup yachting, where I developed a distinctive strong visual composition style.
Photography led me to painting where I create images inspired by my life experiences and surroundings such as the oceans of the world and landscapes.
I maintain a strong visual graphic style, rich in color and texture. My works evoke feelings of strength and sensitivity, comfort and familiarity and they continue to surprise and reveal themselves in their detail.
I live, exhibit and travel between San Diego, Australia and New Zealand.

Aerial Fields
An abstract aerial landscape by Sally Samins, where interlocking fields of yellow, coral, mint and deep navy read like patchwork countryside seen from above — mixed media on board.
